alliantgroup and CEO Dhaval Jadav Host Inaugural Stargazing Event with The Houston Astronomical Society

HOUSTON, July 25, 2018 /PRNewswire/ — alliantgroup is proud to host the inaugural Cocktails & Cosmos event taking place on July 26th at Cottonwood, a gastropub within the Oak Forest/Garden Oaks area of Houston. The stargazing event is the first of its kind for the tax consultancy firm that has publicly voiced its concern regarding the lack of emphasis placed on STEM-related careers for young professionals. The event will highlight the wonders of STEM as alliantgroup plays host to special guests, team members, amateur astronomers and telescope enthusiasts for an evening that is billed to be “out of this world”.

“I have always been a huge advocate for promoting STEM education, and astronomy is one of my favorite personal activities, so I could not be more excited for this event,” said alliantgroup CEO Dhaval Jadav. “Our goal with this event is to bring people together to learn, share and engage with one another, and I truly feel this event will present an excellent opportunity to accomplish just that.”

Those in attendance will enjoy delicious bites and specialty drinks like the “Supernova”, “Martians Take Manhattan”, “Moon Shot” and the “Blue Alien”. In addition, the event will have high-powered telescopes available for use provided by the Houston Astronomical Society, whose members will also be on hand to assist with guiding the stargazers through the galaxy.

Founded in 1955, the Houston Astronomical Society is an active community of enthusiastic amateur and professional astronomers with over 60 years of history in the Houston area. Through education and outreach, their programs promote science literacy and astronomy awareness. Castle is a meteoriticist and geochemist working as part of the Mars Science Laboratory science team at the Lunar Planetary Institute in Houston. Castle will be on hand to talk about his latest research and answer any and all space-related questions.
