HOUSTONNov. 15, 2018 /PRNewswire/ — alliantgroup is honored to announce that it has awarded $180,000 in STEM scholarship funds to 18 high school seniors and college freshmen.

The scholarships were presented to the students on November 7 during alliantgroup’s Leadership, Technology & Policy Summit at the firm’s headquarters in Houston. Each student received $10,000 to help fund their respective STEM education at the college of their choice.

“STEM education is a personal passion of mine, and something that I believe is integral to pushing our economy, and country as a whole, forward,” alliantgroup CEO Dhaval Jadav said. “From manufacturing to transportation, from biological research to infrastructure design, our country heavily relies on these fields. STEM students and professionals just like our scholarship recipients will be the ones paving the nation’s path to progress.”

The ballots are still being counted (or recounted) in Arizona and Florida U.S. Senate races and President Trump has churned the water on a possible tax deal – stating in the post-election press conference that he would be open to raising tax rates (including corporate) to pay for a middle-class tax cut.

Setting aside the more small-ball tax provisions that may be enacted in a lame duck that I’ve discussed earlier (with the chances of extension of energy tax provisions greatly improved with the election results) – is it possible to provide real benefit to middle class families?
