alliantgroup is thrilled to announce that it has been named an Associate Member of the AICC, The Independent Packaging Association. The AICC is committed to representing and protecting the business interests of its members, and alliantgroup is committed to helping their mission. AICC members are independent companies providing corrugated, folding carton and rigid box packaging.
Established in 1974, the AICC was founded to help independent box plant owners and operators survive and thrive. This started with focuses on issues related to supplying members with the paper they needed. It also focused on issues of competitiveness within the industry in an attempt to level the playing field for independents.
Since then the AICC has evolved and grown. The packaging industry is more high-tech than ever, with increased adoption of automation, cloud-based inventory systems, operational control and higher throughput speeds. The association now sits as the intersection of packaging substrates, materials and services. It is also the largest organization of corporate members in the corrugated and paperboard industries.
AICC has also evolved to emphasize education, emerging leaders and technology for its members. Much of that emphasis is meant to help members attract and keep employees. Which is why, alliantgroup’s induction aligns perfectly.
“We are thrilled that alliantgroup is now an Associate member” said AICC President Mike D’Angelo. “Their track record of success and tireless work on behalf of clients will now bring tremendous benefit to the entire AICC community.”
alliantgroup has found huge success helping AICC members take advantage of powerful economic relief provisions in the tax code, especially through the R&D Tax Credit. The R&D credit is particularly applicable to AICC members because many qualify based on the work they are already doing every day. Packaging companies that perform activities such as using computer software to create innovative products, designing manufacturing equipment to be more functional, modifying existing machinery to be more efficient, improving manufacturing techniques and processes and developing more efficient containers help members qualify for significant relief.
“The AICC has really showed us how much they care about their members and how much their members care about their professionals. We are eager to dive in and help more members get funds right now,” said alliantgroup CEO Dhaval Jadav.
