Seeing how grateful the people were after they received their medication, made her realize that she needed to do something to help improve the quality of life of others in need.
Driven by her passion for healthcare, Sprit also volunteered with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, where she had the opportunity to meet kids that are battling these diseases. She was one of thirty students selected from the Greater Houston Area to lead a seven-week fundraiser to aid families in their fight against leukemia and lymphoma. At the end of the seven weeks, her team was able to raise over $18,000![/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”10px”][vc_message style=”square” message_box_color=”blue” icon_type=”linecons”]Fun fact: Spirit has been to the junior Olympics twice for volleyball![/vc_message][vc_empty_space height=”10px”][vc_column_text]Spirit is now a freshman at the University of Texas majoring in Biology. After graduation, she plans to attend medical school.
