ACEC Illinois Announces Partnership With alliantgroup

HOUSTON, Jan. 12, 2015 /PRNewswire/ — The American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) Illinois is proud to welcome alliantgroup, a leading tax consultant and the nation’s premier provider of government-sponsored tax credits and incentives to their organization.

“ACEC Illinois is devoted to the success of our state’s engineering firms,” said Dave Bender, Executive Director of ACEC Illinois. “We seek to provide our members with the best resources possible, and knowing their reputation for best-in-class service and the value they have already provided to the industry, we are proud to announce our new partnership with alliantgroup.”

An established member of ACEC at the national level, alliantgroup offers a number of services for the benefit of the engineering industry and will serve as ACEC Illinois’ endorsed provider for research and development and energy based tax incentives.

“alliantgroup taught us about the powerful tax incentives offered by the federal government, and carefully explained the requirements necessary to comply with the tax code,” said Jeff Idels, CFO of Elkus Manfredi Architects and ACEC member. “The finished product that alliantgroup prepares is extremely thorough and professional, and gives us a great deal of confidence that it would stand up under any review.”

For engineering firms improving their designs or investing in energy efficiency, the federal government offers substantial rewards in the form of valuable tax credits and incentives. With alliantgroup’s help, one ACEC member was able to claim $402,686 in federal credits for engineering and design projects spanning a three year period.

“Government-sponsored tax credits and incentives represent one of the most underutilized opportunities afforded to the engineering industry,” said Dean Zerbe, former Senior Counsel for the U.S. Senate Finance Committee and alliantgroup National Managing Director. “I have seen firsthand how our membership in ACEC has helped to bring additional value to engineering firms across the country, and with our new partnership with ACEC Illinois, it is my hope that we can do the same thing here at the state level.”

“I am honored that ACEC Illinois has chosen us as their go-to member for tax consulting services,” said Dhaval Jadav, alliantgroup CEO. “By introducing its members to both research and development and energy incentives, I am excited about the value we will be able to provide Illinois engineering firms in the future.”
