alliantgroup and CEO Dhaval Jadav are proud to announce the rollout of the firm’s STEM Scholarship Partnership Program through the firm’s charitable initiative, the Blue Heart Fund. The new program will offer 20 $10,000 scholarships over the next year to the sons and daughters of alliantgroup’s clients and CPA and industry alliance partners. The program goes hand-in-hand with the firm’s recent charitable endeavors in the area of STEM education.
Statistics show that the U.S. is currently suffering from a major shortage of technical talent entering the workforce. Should this trend continue, it will have dire consequences for our country, affecting everything from worker productivity and wages to American competitiveness and economic growth. In order to create the kind of economy that will provide economic opportunity for all Americans and maintain the quality of life our nation has enjoyed for generations, the U.S. will need a more technically skilled and STEM-oriented workforce – and this will only be created if the private sector and our elected officials work together to make STEM education a top priority.
Through the Blue Heart Fund, alliantgroup is seeking to set the example for what private companies can do in promoting STEM. From sparking interest in STEM at an early age by taking elementary school students to the Houston Museum of Natural Science to creating multiple scholarship programs to encourage the pursuit of STEM careers, alliantgroup is investing in a better future for our kids and U.S. businesses.
“STEM education has long been a personal passion of mine. STEM is truly the future of our economy and those seeking a career in STEM related fields will find some of the highest paying and in demand jobs around. I hear too often from companies about the shortage of technical talent out there for the positions they are trying to fill and I am on a personal mission to help solve this problem.”
To be eligible for the new STEM Scholarship Partnership Program, students must be:
- Recent high school graduates with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
- A child of an alliantgroup client, CPA partner or industry alliance partner
- The son or daughter of an employee for one of our clients that has been nominated by that company’s CEO
