alliantgroup and CEO Dhaval Jadav Awards $180,000 to 2018 STEM Scholarship Program Winners

HOUSTON, Nov. 15, 2018 /PRNewswire/ — alliantgroup is honored to announce that it has awarded $180,000 in STEM scholarship funds to 18 high school seniors and college freshmen.

The scholarships were presented to the students on November 7 during alliantgroup’s Leadership, Technology & Policy Summit at the firm’s headquarters in Houston. Each student received $10,000 to help fund their respective STEM education at the college of their choice.

“STEM education is a personal passion of mine, and something that I believe is integral to pushing our economy, and country as a whole, forward,” alliantgroup CEO Dhaval Jadav said. “From manufacturing to transportation, from biological research to infrastructure design, our country heavily relies on these fields. STEM students and professionals just like our scholarship recipients will be the ones paving the nation’s path to progress.”

Nearly 100 applicants from all over the country submitted a video or essay detailing their aspirations for a career in a STEM field. During the summit, Jadav presented each recipient with a scholarship check and spoke about each individual’s background and STEM career goals.

“Choosing our winners was incredibly difficult because our applicant pool was so extraordinary. We are so impressed with both the dedication and willingness to learn that these students exhibited,” Jadav said. “alliantgroup can’t wait to see these potential engineers, meteorologists, architects or biologists thrive in their careers, and our firm is proud to have been able to help them take a step forward into the amazing world of STEM.”

These awards, given by alliantgroup’s STEM Scholarship Program, bring the program’s 2018 scholarship total to $240,000. The firm will also be presenting six scholarships totaling $30,000 to high school seniors in the Greater Houston Area in January.
